Pros

-Plenty of snacks -Was never called in on weekends -Still a small amount of good people working there

Cons

-Switched to Angular 2 as it just released beta, It's unstable at best. Code produced produce barely works because of it. -Skipped ReactJS/Redux for no particular reason, They ship outdated code -CEO is insufferable and, full of himself. Also involved in some self-help cult which he tries to sell to employees. Constantly has people from his self-help group at the office, It's uncomfortable trying to work and being sold something at the same time. CEO lost only contract which caused team of 25 people to shrink to a team of 10. Everyone good left because of it -his personal life always bled into our work, depressing really when you see he's received an email on his laptop that he is late on a number of payments. You would think he would try to hide these things. I think he even had to sell his home from the stuff I overheard him talking about. -assistant watches you, takes note of when you leave and come back -Lack of communication past 5-minute scrum meetings. - If you ask why something is or how something works the usual answer is 'I don't know' -They Worship John Papa but they don't know why outside of his best practice guide. -Nerf wars we're a waste of time and money. -Cubciles -Mandatory to attend Rocky Mountain Angular meetups, would usually be at the office from 9am- 7pm because of it.

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. As a company, we felt that moving our teams and code to Angular2 would best suit our clients and their budgetary needs. We apologize that you felt uncomfortable in the office when the leadership teams were using the office for their team meetings, we certainly didn’t want you to feel that way. If you would like to share more about your experience with us, with us, please send an email to HR@briebug.com. Pros

Solid teammates and some decently interesting projects on occasion

Cons

- Management - Work-life balance - Misrepresentation of roles and benefits - Heightened layoff risk - They take themselves so seriously that they think they're Google. They have some kinda "culty" behaviors related to this, like reciting the core values before every meeting. I get it in theory but the execution just feels off-putting. - Everything feels quite robotic when it comes down from above. - MAKE SURE YOU READ ALL OF THE PAGES OF DOCS AND WIKIS

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear you had a positive experience with your teammates and some of the project work. We’d like to share a bit more context on a few of the areas you mentioned. From the beginning of our hiring process, we aim to be transparent about who we are as a company, including how central our core values are to how we work. They are part of our interview process and are intentionally reinforced in team settings, including highlighting one value at the start of meetings to keep them relevant and actionable. We understand this approach may not resonate with everyone, but we strive to ensure candidates have a clear understanding of our culture upfront. We also work to set clear expectations around roles, responsibilities, and how we work day to day. Flexibility is important to us, and we regularly support employees in adjusting their schedules to meet personal needs when planned and communicated with their team, whether that is starting earlier, stepping away during the day, or making up time later. At the same time, flexibility exists alongside shared expectations around availability, participation in key meetings, and delivery of work so teams can collaborate effectively. Our goal with feedback is to recognize and celebrate strengths while also providing constructive input on areas for growth. Positive recognition in one area does not negate the need for improvement in another, and we work to ensure feedback, both private and public, is thoughtful, balanced, and aligned. When company changes occur, we prioritize transparency and fairness. This includes providing advance notice and options so individuals have time and flexibility to plan their next steps. We also hear the feedback around management and communication. Our intention is to apply policies consistently to ensure fairness across the organization, while continuing to improve how those expectations are communicated in a way that feels supportive and human. Finally, we recognize that documentation and internal resources are an important part of how we operate, and we continue working to ensure they are clear, accessible, and helpful rather than overwhelming. We appreciate you sharing your perspective. Feedback like this helps us continue to refine and strengthen the employee experience. If you would be open to it, we would welcome the opportunity to connect directly. Please feel free to reach out to us at HR@briebug.com.
