We strongly disagree and take exception to the serious allegations made in your review, finding it defamatory and incomprehensible given the various avenues we have for employees to report such behavior if it indeed happened. Several comments made in the review are completely inaccurate. We would like to provide factual information as follows to correct the erroneous comments made: 1. Emtec has continued to grow over the years. The Pune office has grown 4x in number of associates and revenue in the past 5 years. 2. As part of our growth, we have a balanced pyramid and Emtec’s attrition rate has been below industry average over the last 5+ years. 3. We are proud to say that many associates who joined us at the entry level have grown along with the company, continuing to play an instrumental role. One need only read the dozens of positive India-based reviews on Glassdoor indicating it is a great place to start and grow a career. 4. The management team comes from a diverse set MNCs with 20+ years of IT experience and we practice an open-door communication policy. 5. We have high client retention and referral business with global organizations based on the quality work delivered by our talented associates utilizing the latest technologies. 6. We also pride ourselves as being one of the top 30 percentile tech employers when it comes to benefits and rewards. Emtec’s India offices organize various events and activities to bring everyone together throughout the year. We understand that each of our associates has unique skills that can be effectively utilized for the organization and try to provide them with opportunities to use those skills during their work. As with all organizations, and especially in the ever-changing IT industry, it is important to keep skills current and we encourage our associates to do so to remain relevant in today’s IT landscape. We regret that your association with Emtec didn’t turn out to be as expected and are disappointed that you did not take the opportunity to share any personal issues/concerns during your tenure / exit interview with our HR or management team members. We take your comments very seriously and encourage you to contact us at HR-India@emtecinc.com to help us better understand your experience with us and what may have gone wrong.

Pros

I love the people I work with. I’m constantly learning with every project, and I feel appreciated for my skills and talents. My boss is awesome and gives me a lot of freedom. He's friendly, open, honest, and a great mentor. I think he believes in my abilities more than I sometimes do, which pushes me to take on challenges that help me grow and be a valuable asset to the company. Our team is made up of generally happy people, which makes even the tough jobs feel manageable. I’ve also never worked on a brand I wasn’t excited about, which keeps the work feeling meaningful and fun.

Cons

- The emphasis on time tracking/timesheets creates constant stress around balancing billability and over-logging hours. - My role and responsibilities have grown but my compensation hasn't changed much over the last several years. - No bonuses.

Pros

Decent pay, good people, and remote company.

Cons

Layoffs about every 3 months. Leadership doesn’t disclose. You’ll be looking to reach out to someone about a project and find out they’re not even there anymore. Leadership and management provide little to no training/information yet expect you to perform as if you did. It’s actually very strange. Promotions only given to offshore team members. No culture - the culture is getting the company more money. Poor change management process, yet lots of changes.
