Pros

Brex actually cares about employee wellbeing and listens to feedback. I have not seen this level of genuine caring at any other company. - We submitted feedback that we wanted more time to learn and develop skills. LT set up a day where no one was obligated to work and everyone was encouraged to spend their time self-learning. - Brex sends us holiday gifts, quarterly L&D stipends, and monthly WFH stipends. - Rewarding our hard work over the last year, the company gave every engineer off on a random Friday. They were encouraged to "decompress" and even given $75 stipends to spend on whatever.

Cons

The same you'd find at any startup. Priorities shift over time, it's a bit hard to tell what will deliver the most value, and some engineering decisions become painful and require rearchitecting.
