Pros

Depending on the department, flexible work hours and fun coworkers. Casual attire. Friday Happy Hours. Well made product, easy to sell the product.

Cons

The compensation was low for the amount of work and stress. The size of the company is like a start up, but the company has been around for over 30 years and management wants it to act like a large company without hiring more people. Big problem with burn out, stress, and low morale. General feeling like management and the executive team were only making decisions to benefit themselves, also felt like many managers had never managed people before.

Pros

* Company decided to relocate my office to the HQ. Rather than let me go immediately, they gave me several months to work part-time while trying to find the right opportunity. Showed a commitment to me and my career beyond working at this company which I appreciated immensely. * Good crew, fun culture, lots of opportunity to share my opinions on the direction of the company. * Flexible hours and good work/life balance.

Cons

* It's a small company so you've got to be self-directed to get things done. You can't call the Help Desk and ask someone to come fix your computer. You go to the Apple store. * Again, small company which means benefits are not what you get at larger companies. That said, good 401K match program and other things like free bus pass helped offset the loss of big company perks.

Pros

Brenthaven provides a very relaxed, small company feel. All employees against different departments know each other very well and work to help each other in any way they can. Brenthaven offers a lot of offsite activities to enhance employee morale and bonding.

Cons

With every small company sometimes it is required of an employee to help out in a department that you don not necessarily work in. As this is typical of most companies, the time of being responsible for a temporary "support" position can be longer than desired. Also, it is hard to work your way up as there are limited positions available.
