Pros

Working at Brenntag Ingredients offers a blend of commendable aspects alongside critical areas for improvement. The company culture is notably strong, fostering a supportive environment that values and encourages employee contributions. Appraisals are fair and transparent, effectively recognizing and rewarding hard work and achievement.

Cons

The culture of voluntary layoffs and the hire-and-fire approach contribute to job insecurity among employees. Additionally, a minority of staff exhibit unfavorable behavior towards their immediate team members, sometimes interfering with personal space. It’s important to note that these negative behaviors are isolated instances, with the majority of employees being supportive and respectful. Addressing these issues will help reinforce a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

Pros

Good retirement package and health benefits.

Cons

Global leadership is terrible, HR head in North America is cold and defensive. Fall in line, don’t speak up, don’t be proactive, don’t make waves, don’t give feedback, don’t disturb the status quo. They preach values for workforce to apply while leadership could not care less unless you are in some inner circle. Very difficult to make any positive contributions with roadblocks and red tape every step of the way. Culture is very toxic and feeling overworked is the norm. Almost no chance for promotions and company will use you and string you along without caring about your growth.
