Pros

The people in the Concierge department are terrific. At least, they were. Pretty sure there are about 5 people left in that department because of employee churn.

Cons

Truly the most ethically bankrupt company I've ever worked for. Your clients will be criminals, abusers and liars - but as long as they're willing to pay for a membership, you'll be expected to take their abuse (and good luck talking to your manager about it - they're all OG cronies who would die for the company and couldn't care less about you. They're the same ones writing the completely fabricated positive reviews on this page). Also, if you do end up taking a job at BY, expect to watch your coworkers come and go on a monthly basis. People used to cry in the bathroom in the NYC office. I'm not kidding at all when I say that if I wanted to, I could start a BY Alum support group tonight and have 50 members by the time the office opens tomorrow morning. I can't emphasize enough how QUICKLY you should RUN AWAY from BrandYourself - that is, if you want to be able to sleep at night knowing you're *not* helping bad people sweep their misdeeds and crimes under the virtual rug. SAVE YOURSELF and KEEP LOOKING!

Lots of feedback that we want to take on board. One thing we definitely agree with is that the people in the Concierge department are terrific! You’re very right about the churn in NYC, though . The short explanation is that we relocated the whole ~35 person department but here’s a more detailed overview of the transition. To accommodate the growth in Concierge sustainably, we relocated that department to a second office in Lancaster, PA. In planning for the transition, we had employees’ best interests as our top priority: - We gave the department 9 months notice - Everyone could relocate and we provided financial incentives - For those who wanted to stay in NYC, we offered work from home programs - We always interviewed internally first for positions in other depts. and managed to transfer nearly 20% of Concierge to other NYC teams - For those who wanted to leave, BY offered to help with resume building, connected employees with hiring managers and gradually reduced workloads to accommodate job hunting Finally, not everyone agrees with our mission - and that’s okay! That’s why we’ve made changes to our interview process to make sure candidates understand our philosophy before they sign on. Thanks for taking the time. We take all feedback to heart and try to use it to keep improving!

- You learn a lot of the Marketing/SEO basics - Fun/diverse team. - Flexible PTO

Cons

- Merged with a bigger company and laid off most of the original staff. - You work in a VERY niche market, - The organizational structure was never consistent.
