      TOXIC! STAY AWAY!! - Web Developer Brain Finance Employee Review

      Nothing I'm telling you to stay away!

      I'm not one to post those messages, but if i can help you stay away from a toxic company, I will! Management is terrible, they don't know what they are doing and you can tell on your first day. Culture is toxic, they call it a family because you will work 60 hours a week and they make you go to the office just for show. + They will advertise the job as remote but it's a lie! They keep the toxic employees and fire the good ones. It's like an army, if you don't do what they want at any time, you're fired. They will give you enough work to do for a day (that would take 3 people) that you cannot complete and then fire you because you didn't do it in time. I've seen it happen to a few colleagues. They even have a tracking system on everyone's computers to see what you do and how much you work. Micromanaging much? Stalkers.

We are a fast-growing company, which is not the right fit for everyone as it requires a faster pace than bigger “box” companies. We never require anyone to work 60 hours a week and our policy of requiring employees to come in once a week is simply to foster team dynamics and a collaborative spirit.       Thanks for your 5-star review! There was definitely a lot of noisy construction in the area in the recent past. Luckily, the switch to a work-from-home policy has removed those annoyances! It was a good thing that the great camaraderie and conversations among the teams overshadowed the annoying construction work back then! Thanks for the review!

      Pros

      The people are what make BrainFinance stand out. Colleagues are genuinely talented, generous with their knowledge, and easy to work with across teams. Leadership listens and acts on feedback, which is rare. Every project I've worked on has stretched my skills in a good way — I'm constantly learning. There's also a clear path for career growth if you want it, and management actively supports that.

      Cons

      Hard to think of much — maybe that the pace can be intense at times, but it comes with the territory of building something meaningful.
