Pros

I-Power idea rewards system is great, and they actually implement many suggestions. Small company size allows co-workers to get to know each other more. Hard working mentality. Gym membership included. Promotes continuous education in your field. Teamwork emphasized.

Cons

Social media not considered because target audience is older. Open door policy is not. Management plays favorites and promotes spying on coworkers. Duck your head mentality with many layoffs in recession.

Pros

For those interested, Bottom Line, although sold to new owners by the original founding family, is still publishing its consumer-focused information under current owner Belvoir Media Group.

Cons

As an employee under former ownership I can't comment on the current employment environment at Bottom Line, but for professionals/job seekers in consumer content, it's good to know it still publishes similar content.

Pros

The company offers a family-like environment that is fun, rewarding and challenging. Great perks, bonuses and sometimes generosity from the family that runs the company. Content is uplifting, inspiring.

Cons

Beware: You can be a star in one moment and disliked the next. Being personally liked by the family and friends of the family is more important than performance here. Don't be surprised if you are offered a severance weeks before an impending layoff.
