Pros

there is nothing good to say about this traumatic experience which ended up being the worst decision

Cons

I accepted an offer from this company, leaving behind a stable and fulfilling position at a much better organization. Unfortunately, the experience turned out to be deeply disappointing and unprofessional. Despite promises made during the hiring process: 1. No Insurance or Benefits: The company failed to meet its obligations as an employer. None of the benefits they promised—such as insurance and a food allowance—were ever provided. To make matters worse, they later cited these unfulfilled obligations as a reason for firing me—an explanation that was both absurd and fabricated. 2. Toxic Work Environment: A colleague, who should have been held accountable for repeated unprofessional behavior, bullied me within three months of joining. This bullying even happened in my manager’s presence, and he just sat there, doing absolutely nothing to intervene. When I raised the issue with him, I was told it was my responsibility to handle the situation, even though I was not her manager. 3. No Onboarding: From day one, there was no formal onboarding process to help me integrate into the company or understand their operations. I was essentially left to figure everything out on my own, which only exacerbated the disorganization and lack of accountability across teams. 4. Unjust Termination: I was fired in my fifth month under the pretense of issues that were entirely caused by the company itself. They cited the failure of their own benefits program—something completely outside of my control—as a reason for termination. Additionally, they ignored the bullying I endured, even though it happened in front of my manager, who chose to look the other way. To top it off, during my termination meeting, my manager astonishingly fished for compliments about the team’s culture, completely disregarding the toxic and hostile environment they had fostered. The company operates as if it were a disorganized startup, despite being a well-established organization. This reveals an alarming lack of organizational maturity and professionalism. Responsibilities are assigned arbitrarily and without proper structure. For instance, in Colombia, the financial controller was treated as a top authority in the company. However, this same individual was responsible for ensuring employee benefits were operational—tasks that clearly fall within HR’s scope, not finance. This chaotic and inept approach to leadership and processes reflects a systemic failure that undermines trust and credibility. The overall workplace culture was deeply toxic. My manager forced me to go to the office once a month for meetings that were exclusive to “his team leaders,” with the expectation that we should feel privileged to attend. In reality, these meetings devolved into endless gossip and relentless bashing of other teams within the company—both on personal and professional grounds. This same behavior extended to the team chat on the phone, where negative comments about colleagues were openly shared. Rather than fostering professionalism or collaboration, the environment was entirely focused on negativity and divisiveness. This company is the most unprofessional organization I’ve ever worked for. If you have a stable job, stay away at all costs. In fact, I would advise against joining even if you are unemployed. The experience simply isn’t worth it.

Pros

Good pay. Good benefits. My coworkers who were at the same level as me were supportive.

Cons

Work environment was highly stressful and often unsustainable. Management created a culture where employees were frequently overworked, undervalued, and burned out. Communication from leadership was inconsistent and their expectations changed frequently. Work-life balance was very poor. Employee concerns did not get taken seriously unless they directly impacted company performance. When an HR compliant involving my supervisor was filed for his behavior with input from the majority of the team members, no meaningful action was taken beyond stating it was handled "per BSC policy". Opportunities for promotion and career advancement were limited. Employees who treated others poorly were often still rewarded or praised as long as performance metrics were met. There was a clear culture of favoritism and hierarchy, and employees outside of those circles could work above and beyond expectations without receiving recognition or advancement opportunities. In 2 years, there were 12 employees who were fired in a 10 person department.
