Pros
Boskalis is a very large, multi-national company - this brings plenty of growth opportunities as well as colleagues from all over the world. This helps to create a great culture and atmosphere within the company with most people willing to share their experience and help you develop within your role. The head office in Papendrecht is a great space with modern office space, free coffee and lots of regularly planned events to allow you to connect with your fellow-colleagues.
Cons
Resource planning can sometimes be inadequate leading to lots of work being left to a small number of people. Compensation package is good, but the salaries for project engineers may be on the lower-end when compared with competitors. Senior leadership team has very little interaction with colleagues. Sometimes company presentations are delivered in Dutch, even though the language for the company is English and the leadership team is well aware that many of the employees don't have a good grasp on the Dutch language. This doesn't send a good message to the non-Dutch speaking employees.
