Pros

Borderfree in it's former glory days was a great company to work for under the leadership of the CEO at the time. Now it is a different story...

Cons

Gone are the days that made Borderfree the place and enjoyable culture it once was. There used to be drinks and Karaoke nights after every town hall meeting, and monthly birthday treat of the month, and other small but fun events. These are all gone now under PB management. Even our christmas holiday party was pushed to the new year..it's like it was an after thought for the Borderfree side of the business. They don't appreciate the talented employees that made Borderfree a success and as a result people are leaving at a rate never seen before here. It's really sad to see a great company going down this rabbit hole. Borderfree was doing well before this takeover. Now we are evaluated based on the poor performance as a whole and our annual raises took a big hit.

Pros

Great co-workers in fantastic teams. Compensation is competitive (read very good) and benefits are mediocre, but getting there slowly (in the past few months they've added more benefits and pluses). Management in the R&D department is very straightforward and highly transparent about plans and specs. The entire R&D department is broken up into teams with very fun names (chosen by the team members). Each team consists of a lead engineer, a QA engineer and 2 or 3 software engineers. Promotions are done on a yearly basis: you set goals at the beginning of the year and at the end of the year, you meet with your manager to discuss whether you've met those goals or not. After that, you are possibly granted raises, bonuses, etc. Overall, everyone is very friendly. There's a kitchen on each floor, and leadership is very friendly (to the point where upper management knows most employees on a first name basis).

Cons

The company feels a bit top heavy at times.
