Pros

You can wear whatever you want.

Cons

Mangement doesnt have a clue. They change the rules all the time to suit their favorites. The pay isnt good. If a customer returns their software, the money that was already paid to you, gets taken out of your next check. The manager gives u a hard time when u need to take a vacation day. Who what where when why? The owners are more concerned with bbq and drinking than what employees are doing a good job. No where to advance. No raises. Stupid contest like weight loss and working out that have nothing to do with selling. No motivation. Just what you are doing wrong. They group everyone together tho. As tho everyone isnt doing their job instead of singleing out the ones who arent.

Pros

I have been working for Book Systems for more than 24 years, and it has been an amazing journey. Many of my colleagues have also been with Book Systems for 16 years or more. I truly enjoy working with an incredible team of employees who genuinely care for each other, are dedicated to the company's success, and put the needs of our customers first. I am grateful for the opportunity to work in such a great company.

Cons

Needs to provide a more frequent and structured approach to employee evaluations and opportunities for pay increases.

Pros

A family-based business that carries over not just to our coworkers but to our customers as well. PTO that you start occurring from day one of your start. Of course, you can't use until after your 90 days but it allows your time to build without you even thinking about it. I work in the Sales department, where I started 3 years ago. The collaboration and teamwork that are not only allowed but encouraged are ASTONISHING! We are the epitome of the saying two heads are better than one and four heads are better than two. Management encourages and provides you the tools that you need to not only succeed in your current position but to also have you grow into the career and position you want to eventually achieve.

Cons

Raise structure could be better. We do get bonuses, however, when an employee that has been here for over 5 years is making the same thing as a new hire it doesn't envoke a strong sense of loyalty returned on your paycheck. However, they DO make sure we are always a leading contender when it comes to profit sharing, 401K investments, and that our health care plans are the best value possible.
