Pros

1.) The base hourly wages are great for the valley. The benefits package is fair as well. 2.) Many great people work at Boise. Great friendships can be forged. 3.) The work is fast and hard. This could be a pro or con 4.) Most of the management (superintendents and above) are competent.

Cons

1.) While upper managers are very intelligent, compassionate, and motivated; the same is not always true of department leads and shift supervisors. In fact, most of them are nincompoops. 2.) Due to the short-comings mentioned in #1, a significant communication gap exists where operators feel disconnected from management and communication (all around) is so poor that it borders on incompetence. 3.) Very often, leads/supervisors pursue personal agendas under the guise of "safety" and / or "best in class".

Pros

No face to face customers. Not very much turnover.

Cons

Because people stay, opportunities for advancement are limited if you can’t relocate.
