Pros

Ability to work on sophisticated matters, while while being considered a human being. Unlike other mid-sized firms which lack sophistication in client matters, and unlike the mega firms where it is difficult to cultivate a reputation, the support staff, associates, non-equity members and equity members take the time to get to know everyone working at the firm, so you are more than just an email to some inaccessible partner who doesn't know your name. You are allowed to have a personality and interests outside of work. Associates are encouraged to seek out clients and develop our own books as we become senior associates and junior members. Associates and members in different groups are accessible and are happy to help assist when asked, overall it is a very collegial environment. Currently, a self policing hybrid work model, offering flexibility to associates during the week to choose which days make the most sense to be in-office as opposed to working from home.

Cons

Market pay, while sometimes having the expectation of big law availability.

Pros

35 hr work week nice benefits and PTO 1200/hr billing "goal"

Cons

like any big place this is 75 tiny firms under a trench coat, so team dynamics are what it's all about and it's a grab bag They have some strange payroll practices and good luck getting paid for anything over the standard 45
