Pros

Very little to put here..the one good thing are the hours of the salon. Not open too early, not open too late.

Cons

The stylists are worked like dogs. Back to back clients all day, and no breaks. They are micromanaged by the manager on a lot of details. Constant problems with salon duties, gossip, and inappropriate relationships with clients. Stylists will get written up for being 10 minutes short on a service. If you are new to one of the corporate salons in DFW, you most likely will be gossiped about and harassed. If you try and reach out to your area manager, she will become part of the harassment as well. The front desk is always stressed, and being forced to enter false data to hit “team green”. The girls at the front are the most attacked in the salon by the manager and other stylists. The salon I worked at lost a few great receptionists due to harassment. The company is great, the pay is great and the clients are great, but the fraud and dishonesty at my salon was enough to steer me and my clients away. My location has the right idea for success, but management needs to be replaced immediately before there is a lawsuit.

Pros

I have enjoyed my time at Boardroom. It is a positive work environment with very supportive management and coworkers. The manager provides a flexible schedule and plenty of responsibilities and opportunities to grow professionally. I have had a great experience with both clients and coworkers!

Cons

Boardroom is great for people that like to stay busy. Since it is a service based business, there will be occasional last minute changes, which can be challenging. Need to be detail oriented, stay calm under pressure, and able to multitask!

Pros

The clients were great for the most part and the tips were good.

Cons

The management is terrible! The manager, causes more drama than anyone else’s. She’s doesn’t keep your info private and confidential. She displays favoritism and lacks professionalism when it comes to her political and religious beliefs. Corp. under pays the stylist and over charges clients. They hire in newer stylists with less experience more then the senior stylists with the clientele. Corp. changes rules and policies so often it becomes difficult to know how to preform at the job. There is little to no perks and the day to day is repetitive. No opportunities for growth or to move up in the company. With the mischievous manager and corp. with frequent change and turn over, this is an unnecessary high stress job. The yearly “raise” is laughable. $1 increase per year as long as you cross off all the criteria’s they push onto you. Don’t waste your time and talent.
