Pros

Nice depth to your responsibility. You get to wear many hats, which can be fun.

Cons

This company, or rather, the CEO is all about control. So much talent and knowledge is wasted because it is her way or the highway. If you push back you will be fired or at the very least belittled, and asked if you think you are "a good fit" for the company. Generally, you will also be bad-mouthed behind your back whenever possible. Promises aren't kept, here are a few examples. - Equity in writing: Pending for > 6 months, couldn't even send an email with an I owe You - Insurance: 100% premium coverage to 60% coverage on a really terrible plan. - Unlimited PTO: Ya not a thing here, but they told us it was. The company has experienced over 300% employee turnover in a year. I understand start-ups can be a tough environment and require extra work, but there are so many great start-ups out there that will reward and value you for your efforts, this one won't. This constant tension has shifted the culture from what was a fun, enjoyable, and focused group into a toxic, stress zone. My last point is more personal opinion. The idea of Blytz is sold on financial inclusion and providing ways for the underbanked to get help. You will probably also hear that this idea is bigger than us and that the big man upstairs is the creator. Well he must hate the underbanked because the main clients of BlytzPay are High-Interest consumer lenders who charge 20% interest on a 1993 Geo Metro. I don't know how giving these lenders a platform to collect bills better is helping the underbanked.

I appreciate your willingness to share advice and your perspective. You're right that startup life is a wild ride. A tech startup feels like flying a plane while you're trying to build it. Definitely a bumpy ride sometimes. In the situation you describe, we had differing views on the direction of leadership. I had to make some hard decisions, and it was certainly painful all around. As CEO, I'm incredibly proud of what we've built so far, and you're right that I've had to adapt and grow into a stronger leader. Trusting the exceptional people who work for BlytzPay is super important to me. In addition, we've worked on our policies and benefits to be more consistent and competitive. But I'm confident that we're smoothing things out as we strengthen our leadership team.

Pros

Great culture, cool technology, good leadership, great customers.

Cons

There are no cons. It’s dumb that Glassdoor tries to make me leave a con.

Pros

We are all after an incredible mission and we do it with passion. In my opinion there's not much better than working with a great team. This team works hard and we move at a quick pace, which makes things fun. If you like to do the work there is a big opportunity to be apart of something great! I love working for a company that truly prioritizes helping the client and making sure they're taken care of! It's easy to say as a slogan, harder to do day to day and it's always front of mind.

Cons

I can't think of any cons of working here at the moment.
