Pros

Bluewave is a fantastic place to work. One of the greatest things about Bluewave is the ability to control your day. You have metrics that are attainable and allow you determine how handle your day to day. The company is growing very strongly and has made some great improvements. Two office locations makes it easier for the employee to find a location that works for them. The employees are fantastic and some of the smartest IT people I have ever worked with are here. You truly can find an answer to just about any problem. The company is pushing towards larger clients which helps to see more advanced technology. The internal ticketing system is homegrown and probably one of the best ticketing systems I have used.

Cons

Benefits are something that is lacking. If your a family person health insurance costs are rather high. I hope to see improvement in this area in the next year to two. Paid time off is split into vacation and sick days instead of standard PTOs. Some internal processes still need to advance with the growth of the company.

We try very hard to retain top talent. The industry has about a 30% turnover and we have less than 5% turnover...we can always get better and are open to all suggestions on getting and retaining Top Talent.

Pros

Bluewave Computing presents the opportunity to truly grow with a company. While it does take some time to progress up the ranks, it is very possible to get noticed because of the organizational structure of the teams. If you are a hard worker and are self-motivated, there is no reason that you will not move up very quickly at this organization. I have seen the ups and downs. Even when the economy took a turn for the worst, this company still did not let anyone go due to financial problems. The CEO is very committed to his employees. Now, the economy has turned around and management is noticing that we are a bit behind on compensation. What do they plan to do? They are re-evaluating the compensation to bring them more in line with industry standards. Management is very agile and nimble given the correct data to back any changes that someone suggests. MAJOR UPSIDE HERE: If you have the data and business plan to support a new client offering, the EVP is always open to additional ideas on how to help out our clients from a strategic perspective.

Cons

Due to Bluewave still being a relatively small company, people sometimes wear multiple hats resulting in some ambiguous responsibilities. This is starting to get better as the company is in a major growth pattern and responsibilities are being assigned to their rightful places, and people are getting placed "inside the correct box."
