Cons
BlueForge Alliance is run by a condescending and dismissive management team, and I found it to be an extremely hostile environment. My opinions and ideas were regularly dismissed, and I was made to feel small and insignificant. There is a distinct lack of diversity, with all decisions being made by a small group of white men and their family members who systematically ensure they hold all decision-making power. I was routinely given tasks that dismissed my skills and experience level, while more junior colleagues were ignored all together. I’ve never worked at a job that made me feel so undervalued, underutilized, and disrespected. The only sense of camaraderie or collaboration was among the non-executive staff who had no decision-making authority. I worked incredibly well with them, even though executive leadership would constantly play mind games to turn staff against one another (i.e. one person could not succeed without directly harming reputation or prestige of a fellow employee). The interview process is misleading about the company’s values. They claim to care about creating a strong sense of family and belonging and inclusiveness, but it takes about two weeks of employment to realize those priorities only apply to certain high-level people. The salary they offer is just high enough that it easily beats out offers from comparable organizations, but those extra dollars are not worth it. This is the worst place I have ever worked in my entire life. I would strongly discourage anyone from working at BlueForge Alliance. The management team is unprofessional, unsupportive, and uninterested in their employees’ well-being. There is a clear lack of respect for those who work there, and the overall atmosphere is one of hostility, rife with gaslighting, benevolent sexism, and nepotism. There are far better places to work, so I would urge anyone considering applying for a job there to think twice for the sake of your mental health, professional development and career growth.
