Pros

The list of pros is short, - Co-workers are nice - Pays you, although on occasion (2-4 times/year) pay is delayed a day for various reasons That's it.

Cons

Where do I start? This company is a mess in terms of leadership and direction. The majority of the senior management shouldn't be there. They have no formal executive training and it shows in their decisions and dealing with others. The Senior Management surround themselves with "yes" men/women, and if you don't agree you'll be pushed out of the inner circle and eventually out the door. The company is being out performed by the competition and other Imperial Oil distributors due to questionable senior management decisions, and the future doesn't look any better as management refuses to admit that they lack the necessary skills to move the company forward and bring in true professionals to deal with the problem. The sales department is unorganized and left on their own for the most part. TRAINING IS MINIMAL, which is why sales are suffering across the board. Actually, training is lacking in every aspect of this company. Resources are thin at best. Everyone is trying to make due with less than what's needed. Need more trucks? Sorry. Faster ERP to help administration? Too expensive. When assets are purchased the decisions are made at the senior management level without any real feedback from the people on the ground using the assets, and as a result the new purchases are usually inadequate. With all the negatives and no real positives, how did they manage to be listed as one of Deloitte's "Canada Best Managed Companies"? I've been a part of two companies that have made that list, and was a big part of the process in one of the companies. I'll tell you this, there was a great deal of wool being pulled over peoples eyes. I have no faith in Deloitte's "Canada Best Managed Companies" list.

Pros

The only empathetic person in my department was my supervisor.

Cons

I was treated so poorly by upper management - constantly told to lie to our clients, not give any details about contracts to paying clients, and always talked down to. Everything I did was scrutinized to the point of they requested a breakdown of what tasks I was completing ON THE HOUR. I was losing time just tracking my personal work. When I started this position, there were five of us working in this department - when I resigned one year later, I was the last one working in this branch.

Pros

I’ve had a very positive experience working with this company. The team is supportive, professional, and creates a welcoming work environment. My direct manager has been amazing to work with — always approachable, supportive, and encouraging. I’ve learned so much through their guidance and leadership, and it has really helped me grow both personally and professionally. The company also offers great benefits and work-life balance, which makes a big difference in overall job satisfaction. There are opportunities for learning and growth, and to be part of a collaborative team. Overall, it’s a great place to work to gain meaningful experience and a team-oriented atmosphere.

Cons

Nothing to mention at the moment.
