Pros
Some people at the company are extremely bright, but you'll also find the opposite... Most engineers/people are very nice and willing to help out. Few teams have very great team dynamics. You can be the change you want to see, (usually only applies for Director and above level). Relaxed dress attire. Open space type of office, open collab, everyone wants to listen to feedback to improve things. Exciting projects, lots of work to keep you busy/occupied. Nerds everywhere, everyone's passionate about space. Cool Blue gear (expensive though...) New HQ building is beautiful Good WLB
Cons
Cost cutting initiatives are coming. They cut our snacks, summer events, catered meeting lunches, new employee lunches... I'm sure more to come. Lots of managers that need to be trained better on how to manage their team. Some teams have poor and toxic team dynamics. Limited career growth, especially if you're not a white male. Definitely many traditional older white males (mostly shop floor folks) who look at you like 'what are you talking about' and make you feel stupid, rather than help you to understand. Poor raise/bonus/promotion policies. No direction in career growth. Potential to pigeon-hole yourself in one field. Definitely "step by step" even the software.... Program/launch/schedule delays. Poor supplier quality management. Poor purchasing decision making. Traditional aerospace culture is present, be wary of red tape restrictions. Pretty common for someone to be hired to do something they don't specialize in, significantly reducing employee effectiveness. Software/processes/CAD programs are buggy, weak, messy, needs to be improved. Significantly reduces company effectiveness as a whole.
