Pros

Air conditioner, company computer, swivel chair, free toilet, lift access.

Cons

Micromanagement. Ridiculous leave policy - You have to *earn* your annual leave, and you are only entitled to take 2 leaves in one quarter. Micromanagement. Long contract policy - You have to be tied to them with a 4-year contract. Otherwise you will be filed a lawsuit for breaching your terms. Micromanagement. No parking claim - You have to pay for your own expensive parking for a company you don't wanna work at. Micromanagement. You have no access to your own email and password - Everything is controlled by the management. (Note: Actually all the staff knows the password already) Micromanagement. It's a yes-man company - If you don't say yes to the director, she will hunt you down and find all mistakes that you can possibly make, including watching you from the CCTV. Micromanagement. Outdated products make them lose customers and receive zero new customers. Micromanagement. Also, the worse part is, you have to work on PUBLIC HOLIDAY without getting extra pay. Micromanagement. If the director is not satisfied with your personal behaviour which is not illegal, she will hold your salary until the 7th day of the next month.

Pros

No good thing to say.

Cons

I worked at Blue Ocean Data Solutions. The main issue is the lack of clear direction from management. Most decisions are short term and keep changing. There is no proper long-term plan. The organisation structure also changes very often, which makes employees confused about their roles. Project leadership does not have enough background in software development. Because of this, there is poor understanding of software terms, best practices, and SDLC. Even though the company has processes, they are rarely followed. Requirements change frequently, so the team often has to redo work. Employees who give different opinions or better ideas are sometimes left out of discussions if their views do not match management. Hiring quality is inconsistent, and project execution is not closely monitored. The system design feels outdated, and timelines are usually unrealistic. Many projects are assigned at the same time with the same team and same deadlines. This causes high stress and burnout. Summary: No clear direction and long-term planning. Decisions change too often. Feedback is not always welcomed. Unreasonable timelines with overlapping projects. Outdated software design and practices. High turnover due to management and process issues, not colleagues. The company needs stronger and more consistent leadership with proper software and project management experience to improve team morale and retention.
