Pros

Blue Engineering was a very young company when I joined, this meant that there was plenty of room for trying new things. We got to establish and grow the staff culture, implement new systems and processes, all with the flexibility of a small company which was growing steadily.

Cons

At times the fact that it was a young company with little structure meant that there was not the progression planning that larger organisations would have had. It was also a very young workforce, so there were few experienced managers to train and develop.

Pros

A lot of unpaid overtime with unrealistic deadlines.

Cons

Get paid the absolute minimum for your age and work experience. If your an apprentice you will always earn minimum wage at this company, no matter the role, when I worked for this company everyone knew everyone else's salary (apart from management's salary, I wonder why...) so believe me you will earn the absolute lowest they can give you. If your not an apprentice but a senior / lead engineer, which we had a couple of, they were only getting paid ~30k a year, trust me when I say you are worth more than that, just do a simple google search. Best to stay away from this company, a lot of unpaid overtime, unrealistic deadlines, zero job security (in 2024 more than half of the company was made redundant due to management's mistakes, in 2023 6 apprentices were made redundant for the same reason), this company also got blacklisted from 3 different universities because of how bad it mistreats its apprentices with the overtime and unrealistic deadlines as mentioned previously. You may think the work experience is worth the opportunity, it is not, every apprentice and ~80% of non apprentices thought the same when they joined (because they sure weren't joining for the salary), just to be proven wrong. Genuinely good luck on your job search, just keep at it and you'll find what your looking for, but I'd pass up on this one, you've been warned.

Pros

Some of the people working here are really nice.

Cons

You know the saying 'You get out of a job what you put in', yeah that's not the case here. Expect to work long and hard hours, many weekends too, without any overtime pay just to keep up with unrealistic deadlines set by management just to be made redundant at any moment. Steve jobs once said "The only way to do great work is to love what you do" - your gonna hate it here. I can say that with 80-90% certainty because that's the percentage of people that hated it here before they were abruptly made redundant.
