Blue Castle Group Response

Thank you for your review, we are pleased that you feel our team members here at Blue Castle are a good team to work with, it is something we pride ourselves on, choosing the right talent that fits within the business. We are also pleased to hear that the working environment was something you enjoyed. As you will be aware, with an open-door policy, our management team are readily available, approachable, and open to discussions around all subjects such as pay and future plans etc. I do hope that although your comments on these aspects are listed as a pro that you did take up the opportunity to speak with your line manager around these things. As your review is anonymous, we are unable to review any specifics. As you note you were previously in our sales team and not having had any members of that team leave for over 18 months, I assume you left our employment some time ago and have only just fed back to us via this platform but wish you well in your now current and future employment.

Pros

I really do enjoy working at Blue Castle and having read the other reviews on this site can only believe someone has started a campaign or they are written by people who have left under a cloud. I have seen lots of change at Blue Castle and on the whole all have been for the better. There is an open culture where any senior manager (and even the CEO) can be approached easily. I am listened too and given opportunity to put my opinion over. The company offer a good salary for the local area, health schemes, gym contribution, an employee advice line, fully paid Christmas event, annual conference and financial awards for attendance. Yes the parking is good but it has to be as it is in a village and there is fruit in the kitchen, alongside tea/coffee facilities but those I feel are a basic. The atmosphere is clean, tidy and relatively modern. no one is expected to work past 5pm which I think is one of the best things, there is no pressure to do more than needed. the company are always innovating and are prepared to invest in new opportunities.

Cons

If you don't drive public transport would not be reliable. Office layout is changed every now and again meaning desk moves happen.

Pros

This really is a great company to work for and when I read some of the other reviews on here, I really can't believe that they are talking about the same company. The company has a really open and inclusive culture and the management are really supportive. They provide both general and job specific training and they do not tolerate bullying etc. as suggested by other posts on here. To any prospective employee looking on here, visit us and speak to us face to face and make your own judgement as some of the other reviews on here simply do not reflect the company I have worked for for over 5 years. Salaries are reasonable, there is a health benefit scheme for all employees, holidays entitlements are better than many and increase with length of service. All in all it really is a nice place to work.

Cons

You basically need your own transport to work here unless you happen to live in the village. The company is fairly small (40 people) and so career progression can be limited, but this applies to all smaller businesses.
