Blue Bridge Financial Response

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While we are disappointed to hear that your experience at Blue Bridge Financial was not what you had hoped, we want to offer some context that may help others better understand our culture and environment. We operate in a fast-paced, high-accountability industry where performance expectations are understandably high and often impacted by broader economic factors. This industry can be tough and not for everyone. Our company mission is Growth, Adaptability and Impact therefore, individuals that are eager to learn and develop their careers, work alongside C-Suite members of the organization, make a significant contribution and impact the bottom line, will thrive in this environment. That said, we are committed to supporting all employees through regular coaching, performance reviews, and professional development opportunities. When performance consistently falls short of clearly communicated expectations, even after feedback and support, we sometimes must make difficult personnel decisions. These decisions are never made lightly, but they are necessary to uphold the standards of our business. Many of the reviews posted on Glassdoor are unfortunately from individuals who were on performance improvement plans or in violation of company policy. We know this because the retention rate of our highly regarded, valued and successful employees is extremely high. It is unfortunate that some have taken to a public platform to air their disappointment. Our company culture is work hard but have fun and get to know your fellow employees. This is done by several company outings to sporting events, bowling, mini-golf and a winery tour. We also understand and respect a work/life balance and offer employees the opportunity to work remotely when needed. To that point, many key roles are or have been remote workers especially in areas requiring less direct oversight. However, many roles require a “team” approach and in those cases the employees prefer to be in an office environment that allows them to develop personal relationships with fellow employees and learn from those around them. We genuinely wish you the best in your career and hope you find an opportunity better aligned with your skills and aspirations. Management of Blue Bridge Financial, Inc.

Pros

Get a lot of exposure to whatever projects you want to be involved in. Extremely top heavy and looking for young people to fill management roles. Able to ask questions and are rewarded for showing interest and care. Experience gained is very valuable and you can’t receive the exposure you do at a larger company. People are friendly.

Cons

In person 5 days a week in Reston. Pay is well below average for non operations positions. Never leave before 5:30. A lot of loud and hard criticism that some people can take to personally. Don’t think the CEO means harm but he is passionate and wants the business to succeed. Extremely high turnover due to large work volumes and employees gaining enough experience to leave and due less work for more compensation
