Pros

A line or two on your resume if you are fresh out of college.

Cons

You should really look elsewhere if you're considering BluShark. For starters, if you have to get people to write your fake positive Glassdoor reviews because no one at the company has the heart to lie, that's saying something. Another key consideration is the average age here is 25. That means no one, except the CEO who comes in and yells at managers, has extensive professional experience or advanced business degrees to learn from. Not that there's much to learn - in most roles, you’re limited to one or two tasks, which is a hard sell when you begin looking for another job after one week. Additionally, most business decisions are made arbitrarily, without much thought put into the process or the consequences of the action. At a start-up, you expect to be able to have an active role in helping a company grow, and by extension, watch your own skills grow enormously. Instead, this company doesn't utilize its smart, capable people in establishing better processes and actually pushes back or retaliates when you give feedback. The retaliation comes in the form of asking you to work from home if you write a bad review or taking you into the president's office to give you a stern warning that makes you fear for your job security. This immature, ego-driven response works out for the company because they're not exactly trying to maximize efficiency and prove themselves to investors. No, this company is the side hobby of a powerful lawyer who could care less about the individuals who work in his SEO sweatshop. It's honestly hard to say everything I need to say about this company to save you from months of tears at night and groans in the morning. Save yourself by continuing your search. Don't settle for this.

Pros

BluShark cares about the quality of its business dealings and the quality o its employees. It's a very comfortable and rewarding place to work. They treat clients and employees with respect.

Cons

The only negative factor for me was the company changed its business model. Unfortunately, that did not include my position.

Pros

As a member of the recruiting team it's been amazing to work cross functionally with all of the department leads and hiring managers at BSD to help expand all teams. The people here are genuinely supportive and collaborative, there are so many opportunities to share ideas, be involved in company culture iniatives and grow as a team. We also use EOS so our management training has been extensive and it's been exciting to watch teams build out individual paths for growth for all employees.

Cons

No big cons, it's definitely a fast paced environment if you're on the client side of things
