Pros

There are some good engineers working towards next generation

Cons

Lot of discrimination in IT Management team. Lot of Force and Power used by IT leader. IT Director continuously promote and help some community employees for immigration purpose to get their work permit and permanent residence easily. IT team alone lost multimillion $ in one of project alone ( Oracle Project ) and dumped all investor money. There are so many managers in IT team and there are no employees to reporting to manager lol. There are lot of employees in IT and their job role is supposed to be engineering level, but their job is the upload and download some files from cloud lol. Information security team doesn't understand real security. There are lot security holes everywhere. Big risk for Bloom Energy customer installation infrastructure which is so weak end to end. Just one customer incident can bring company image and stakeholder value. There are lot of internal conflicts and fights within IT/information Security teams with lot of separations. There is no team work and everyday blaming each other. IT use to be good earlier, but not anymore when all good and talented employees left. If you are going to work for BloomEnergy IT then probably you didn’t get a job anywhere else in silicon valley or if you want to be a politician instead of good self-motivated engineer lol ! Salary at BloomEnergy for Sr level Engineer is almost 15-20% less compared to other silicon valley companies. IT leader openly tells in the meeting “he makes millions” other than salary.

Thank you for taking the time to review Bloom Energy on Glassdoor. It is important for us to hear what we are doing well and what we need to improve on. We don’t condone discrimination of any kind and we take these matters seriously. I encourage any Bloom employee to speak with Human Resources to discuss any such concerns in person. I assure you, we will work toward a resolution. Sonja Wilkerson Executive Vice President, Human Resources Chief People Officer

Pros

- great work culture (besides a few negative people) - surrounded by growing team - competitive pay

Cons

- wishy washy with decision-making - management will make requests, you will complete work, and then there is no follow thru when you hand stuff up to higher ups

Pros

Great technology and programs in place when utilize correctly. I’m really digging deep trying to find the positives, but it’s hard.

Cons

No leadership or direction you can never find a supervisor or a lead when you have a problem, no air-conditioning in half of the warehouse where all the employees actually work it’s actually the other side that’s currently being remodeled for another production line that has air-conditioning, you are led to believe this is a great company to grow with and at but you quickly realize it is actually the complete opposite of everything they tell you in training, no one pays any attention to what is going on so if you are a good hard worker that shows up on time everyday, ready to work and you cannot because the tools to do your job are missing and you have to spend the next hour looking for someone to tell it easily gets overlooked and old real fast. They have three job recruitment agencies on site with 4 time clocks all right next to each other so clocking in and out is torture. They also seem to have a rodent problem because there are mice in the locker room eating the lunch/food we bring. Between the dust, free flow chemicals, and fiberglass particles that are everywhere in there and get all over everything so naturally I was shocked when I blow my nose and it’s all black and grey snot that comes out.
