Pros
The transparency and trust culture at Square is one in a million. We hire amazing people. Sometimes we hire great people into the wrong role, and always people outgrow and develop beyond the responsibilities outlined on their first day. What's amazing about Square is the ability and encouragement to grow and redefine our roles as well as move beyond them into other opportunities within the company! The people I work for and with are extremely inspiring and intelligent. I have extremely faith in our drive forward into the future!
Cons
We work fast, which I would argue is a pro, but I've seen individuals struggle when not passionate about their work. Compensation bumps have been moved to once a year to seemingly make it easier on finance projections, but I don't feel like people grow in their roles at the same cadence around the same date of the year.
