Pros

There are some interesting projects going on at Blinx with some real-world impact, it's easy to get sucked in and feel part of something greater.

Cons

- A lot of people have come and gone at Blinx due to burn-out and bad work-life balance. - Senior Management Team tend to over-promise which leads to a lot of requests for people to do over-time. - SMT have made many promises that "things will get better" but in actuality, you're just running from one crisis to the next. There have been a few people who joined the SMT/C-Level in the past, who were wonderful and tried to sort some issues, but ended up leaving. - Only really hear about the negative things. It's hard to celebrate successes when a lot of overtime and last minute fixes has gone into it - tends to feel bittersweet. - Company culture leads to you feeling guilty if you go to book time off, or simply say no to over-time. - It can sometimes feel very cliquey. If you sacrifice work-life balance and say yes to overtime, you could end up part of that clique, with a discretionary bonus and payrises (if you're lucky). Once you've burned-out and start looking after your mental-health, you'll probably fall out of that clique. - Doesn't really feel like your experience and knowledge is taken onboard. When giving time estimates, there's always push-back, and the estimates tend to get changed anyway. Then engineering team will get blamed for bad estimates. - Priorities will change day-to-day depending on who shouts the loudest.
