Pros

This is a young company with a relatively small team and close-knit team. The obvious pro is that it's not typical unicorn style startup: the team is enthusiastic about the product they are developing, but the approach they have is realistic and professional. So no excessive overexcitement here. Among other pros: - transparent leadership and decision-making; - lots of possibilities to learn and explore; - high level of independence; - support and mentorship if needed; - clearly defined mission and company values; - relaxed and friendly atmosphere; - lots of extra activities (movie nights, dinners out, book club, team trips); - great well-equipped office in the central hip part of Berlin.

Cons

If you are not comfortable with radical transparency, open feedback-giving, fast-paced work environment, it can be difficult to fit in there.

Pros

The Blindfeed team members were really good to work with and very knowledgable which made it even more surprising to find out about how incompetent the CEO was, during the very first interview process all was great, the rest of the team really took time to get to know me, it only felt like the CEO was simply rehashing questions from books he previously read, which seemed suspicious but fine back then, I assumed it was just a well thought process from his side.

Cons

The worst culture I ever encountered, every day, you would be harressed by the passive aggressive behaviours of the CEO, who would attempt to affirm some sort of dominance by screaming at the team, threatening to fire people, and the abuse did not end there, he continueasly harressed the team with passive aggressive messages, he would never stop. He clearly has only a marketing background but he went on to always remind us he was the CEO, to tell us that this is not the place for us if we did not agree with his product ideas and he attemtped to work as a product guy despite his obvious lack of skills and experience in the subject. Whenever he was challenged he would go through the same loop, remind us he was the CEO, scream and threaten to fire whoever he was arguing with as he did almosy daily and that caused me to never speak up again as I prefered not to ruin my day. The most disturbing thing is how he would casually threaten to fire you even after doing great work, make product decision he had no cemptence for, instead of letting the rest of the team who were clearly was more skilled to make those decisions. Something else that often caused me to retire on my desk or on the couch as soon as possible was the CEO's weird obsession with his morning routine that he attempted to force everyone to follow with his usual threaths and 2 hour long speeches that continuesly waisted our time, he would purposfully talk last during our daily meetings despite other team members asking him to go first for the sole purpose to spend hours talking and giving speeches that I don't even remeber, as they were obviously fake and reharshed before the daily standup. I really believed in the company so I stayed for longer than I should have even after having thoughs about leaving it, if the CEO was different I am sure our ideas would have worked and the culture of the company would have been as screwed up and filled with fear and sense of under appreciation.
