I liked that when I started, I was given a base salary, which gave me stability and made me feel more comfortable while learning the role. Later, when I realized I could have made more money on performance-based pay, my boss was understanding and switched me over. Because of that, I feel like I actually have a lot of control over how much money I make, and if I want to earn more, I know I can do that by working harder and staying consistent.
