Pros

I was initially an angel investor in the company after hearing the founder’s presentation and investment pitch deck. Having worked at Shopify in the past, I felt attuned to the problem Bitespeed was trying to solve in the Shopify ecosystem. I was taken by the founder’s candour and ability to thoughtfully consider feedback. Over the past 2 years or so, I've witnessed many versions of Bitespeed, first in the capacity of advising sporadically on technical matters and more recently in the capacity of working remotely in a more structured and regular manner doing engineering. I am continuously impressed by the team's tenacity and persistence in face of the many ups and downs of early stage startup life. Given the young age of most of the team members, I find this noteworthy. In my experience, everyone I've come across at the company has been sharp, has had a sense of levity and worked hard. It's impossible to not make any mistakes especially in a crunch environment like an early startup that is gaining traction with a team full of young people. From what I have seen the team doesn't get bogged down but instead takes ownership of things when they go wrong while course correcting constantly and being relentlessly resourceful. This gives me faith that over time Bitespeed will continue to grow into a well oiled machine that operates a great business that is delighting customers and employees alike.

Cons

They're a headstrong bunch, and so you have to really figure out how to make your points and arguments and be diligent with follow up. This is not a bad thing, since founding team is responsible for the overall success of the company and needs to have strong opinions and conviction, but it is something that definitely needs practice and finesse to get right.

Pros

The company offers strong ownership early on, giving you the chance to work on meaningful tasks rather than just support roles. It’s a fast-paced environment where learning is accelerated, and you gain hands-on experience quickly. The team is driven, collaborative, and always pushing for better results, which creates a motivating work culture. Leadership is clear about goals and vision, making it easier to stay aligned and focused. You also get exposure to real clients and business challenges, which helps in building practical, market-relevant skills.

Cons

The fast-paced environment keeps you constantly engaged and ensures there’s never a dull moment, making it ideal for those who thrive on momentum. High expectations push you to consistently level up your performance and unlock your full potential. The dynamic nature of work, with shifting priorities, helps you build strong adaptability and sharp decision-making skills. Occasional extended hours during peak periods give you deeper exposure to client work and real-world problem solving. Overall, it’s best suited for individuals who enjoy a high-energy, growth-focused environment rather than a slow or routine-driven setup.

Pros

Working as a Business Development Representative at BiteSpeed has been an incredible learning experience. The company gives you real ownership from the beginning, which helped me improve my communication, prospecting, and client-handling skills very quickly. Unlike many organizations where BDRs are limited to repetitive tasks, here you actually understand the bigger picture of SaaS sales and customer growth. The leadership team is very supportive and genuinely invested in employee growth. Managers regularly guide the team on sales strategy, objection handling, and improving outreach quality instead of just focusing on targets. There is a strong culture of learning, collaboration, and experimentation, which keeps the work exciting and motivating. One of the best parts about the role is the exposure to modern D2C brands and fast-growing businesses. The work environment is energetic, fast-paced, and filled with ambitious people who motivate each other to perform better. The company also values initiative. If you come up with new ideas for outbound campaigns, sales messaging, or process improvements, they are actually heard and implemented. Overall, an amazing workplace for anyone looking to build a long-term career in SaaS sales and business development.

Cons

The company is growing very quickly, so there are times when multiple exciting projects and campaigns run simultaneously. This creates a very dynamic environment where priorities evolve fast, which can be challenging in the beginning but also becomes a strong learning experience over time.
