Pros
Good Benefits able to work independently
Cons
Management Inexperienced Pay is bad and expected work load the more experience you have
Pros
Room for growth, independent and self driven work, gaming industry adjacent, accommodating and friendly leadership, good benefits and pay, ability to work fullstack across projects
Cons
Requires domain specific knowledge to succeed in game hosting, customer base can be annoying kids, sometimes makes decisions not acting as a tech company first and foremost
Pros
Most people are great and there are a lot of great opportunities to learn about the IT field.
Cons
Compensation is a major concern. The pay rate feels extremely low for the level of IT support, troubleshooting, customer service, and platform knowledge expected from employees. Around $15/hour feels out of step with the responsibilities of the role, especially when many entry-level Tier 1 technical support positions start closer to the $18–$20/hour range. The bigger issue is the culture around pay discussions. Instead of feeling like compensation concerns are taken seriously, employees can feel discouraged from bringing them up at all. That creates a sense that retention and morale are not being prioritized.
