Pros

The people were very friendly and easy going for the most part. That is probably the only good thing i can say about this company

Cons

There are several cons specifically within the HR function that really needs to be addressed if Biourja plans on becoming a successful company. 1) HR needs to invest in their people and offer training's for career growth and development. Anyone can come on board with the selected skill-set, but ALL jobs (not this one) should successfully train their new hires to ensure that they understand processes and procedures internally. That's like me coming from a sales background and now becoming an IT professional. To completely different fields, right? 2) Management needs coaching! If Bioruja plans on being a leading company in the oil/gas industry, management needs to understand the various types of employees they are working with and how to address certain issues (i.e. performance) and understand that everyone is not the same and work in different ways. Some may require more attention than others. 3) HR should look into establishing a Performance Management Program, rather than fostering a culture that thrives off hostility and poor working relationships. My advice to anyone who decides to work here, make sure you probe and ask all of the right questions during your interview/intake process to ensure that you are a good fit. Inquire about management styles and really try and get a feel for the direction of the company. Stay away if you can, but good luck :)

Pros

The staff at the plants are amazing to work with

Cons

Cons: Toxic Leadership: Insecure managers who see ambition as a threat. Zero Career Growth: Stagnation is not just accepted; it's expected. Punitive, Not Progressive: Your exit interview will be used against you. Blatant Dishonesty: The job in the interview is not the job you'll do. No Psychological Safety: Expressing dissatisfaction is a fireable offense.
