Pros
There are no pros. The company has been falling apart for over a year and people are terrified for their jobs. The main person responsible for the destruction is the micromanaging CEO. Completely unhinged, unpredictable, a fantasist. He mistakes being a good businessman with stepping on s_ and getting lucky. Absolutely no science knowledge and depends mainly on his inept family members to run the business with him. Rampant nepotism. See BioSpyder reviews for more information. Believe the negatives, the only people who write positive reviews are his family as a form of damage control.
No management structure, no progression, below average pay, No direction, no real product. Expected to wear multiple hats but no job description. The clock is ticking for how long he is going to keep kicking the can down the road in Scotland, a company that went from 25 to 5 people. The outlook is bleak and the Scottish life sciences community are aware.
The sad thing is the technology is robust but just completely in the wrong hands of someone with no vision or ability to get anything off the ground. I believe he knows this and that is what leads to his childish outbursts, gaslighting and bullish behaviour towards staff.
Cons
As above, the negatives are endless. A company that is completely hanging by a thread. Senior management keep pointing the finger at everyone else because blame culture is all they know and not one of them look in the mirror to see the real problem staring back at them. What's worse is that they don't even trust each other and the CEO trusts no-one. Dealing with that level of paranoia does not make for a healthy working environment.
