Editing Billboard.biz and writing for "Billboard" magazine has been an educational, fair, and insightful experience. - Contributing Editor Billboard Employee Review

Pros

The editors at Billboard take the time to give writers feedback, and everyone who works there is incredibly smart, supportive, and a team player. I'm very grateful and proud to work at one of the foremost music publications today, if not ever (more people read Billboard than Pitchfork and RS combined!).

Cons

I wish I could work there full-time! Seriously though, the only cons about Billboard are true for the rest of the music industry as well: long hours for low pay (and this is the highest-paying job) and no benefits.

Pros

Access to music industry events Decent pay and benefits

Cons

Leadership fosters a hostile and divisive environment which overtime has created a miserable work atmosphere with low morale for my department. The CEO is verbally abusive and often says weird comments to staff. You have to smile, keep a straight face and not speak up in order to have positive experiences in the workplace even though there is more than often clear violations amongst leadership members
