Pros

If you just do your job, the management will notice and give you more hours (if you're a part time). The store I work at is very well kept up and clean, the sales floor is always looking nice, the displays never are cluttered and dirty, and the backroom is always kept up. If you have good management, then you will be satisfied working here. I was originally hired as a cashier, but within two months of working here, they were already training me on the sales floor (only two other part times at my store are cross trained). Now I work as a cashier, and a sales associate, and am even told by management that I should do the manager trainee program when I turn 21. The hours of operation are also not rigorous, opening at 10am and closing at 9pm so you don't have to get up early and you don't ever have to stay past 10pm. On weekends it's a little different (Saturday 9am-9pm and Sunday 10am-7pm) which shouldn't really come as much of a surprise since this is a retail store. The holiday hours are opening earlier and closing later, but it's like that at any retail store. Bottom line is, if you do your job well, the management will notice, which is a big thing in retail stores like this.

Cons

When you first start out, they usually don't give you a lot of hours. Since this is a retail job you don't get consistent days off or have a steady schedule. Unless you're a manager or a manager trainee you don't get the greatest hours (depending on the sales of your store you can expect 8-20 hours a week at less and at most).

Regional management don’t care about you and will protect predatory managers who harass female workers
