Fringe benefits can't outweigh unhealthy working environment - Outsourced Contractor Beyondsoft Group Employee Review

Pros

Based in client office in Nu Sentral, therefore get to enjoy fringe benefits like free snacks and sugary drinks, occasional festival celebration and gift packs.

Cons

Being outsourced means you don't belong, you'll never get involved in anything important, no share in company growth and success, no access to many resources, when there's an issue HR from both employer side and client side will just push your issue to each other. Micromanagement is pretty much expected, but you'd still be surprised by the level of controls they put in place, for example not allow to leave your seat for more than 20 minutes, HR actually walkaround to check and record every day (btw that's probably the only job they ever did), need to clock-in clock-out twice for both employer and client side and according to official document forgetting to do that may lead to termination. Most importantly, the client Tencent is known for encouraging internal competition. There's no transparency and clear target in performance evaluation even if you ask for it, because the truth is there is none available, they will "normalise" and measure relative performance with other competiting teams or your own member, and if other team OT harder then you will "underperform" by comparison. They will advertise that they do not encourage OT, but if you stay late and look around many are doing undocumented OT work for fear of losing. Think you are safe if you just hassle? The top management is now actively pushing for AI development, and many were told to create skills that are effectively replacing ourselves, there's no growth and no future here.
