Pros
Diverse, plenty of opportunities to grow or try something new, some very good managers, mainly in IT and Merchandising, great people to work with for the most part.
Cons
Ridiculous amounts of money spent on moving people, I've heard rumors of 6 figure moves coming up next year and I don't understand the reasoning behind them. It's a huge waste of money the vast majority of the time, and there have been cases where my department has moved one month, only to move back the next! We should have stayed with our 6 floors, but now we may be moving to a warehouse...how much will that area cost to build out, and will that be enough room for us now that we are growing steadily? Management: the vast majority of managers, especially in Marketing, are the WORST when it comes to communicating with their teams, us underlings. Of course when a project deadline is approaching the communication is fine (Get it DONE!), but when moves are coming up, hiring new people, we usually don't hear about it until the day before which is a joke. There are also a lot of people who come up with some great ideas, of course they don't get the recognition for them, their manager or (most often) executive does. This is something I like to call an executive "stab in the back" versus what we should be getting, and executive "pat on the back". One person in particular is notorious for this, but specifics shouldn't be necessary.
