The software teams have very strong personnel with very professional engineers with high levels of expertise and knowledge in our domain and in the general field of software. Development is not burdened by the higher ups decision making and changes on higher level, and can work freely with little to no disturbance.
Cons
higher up needs to better prioritize tasks and design decisions on new products being developed, and make sure things are properly thought of and known up ahead in order to let the implementers work better with less intrusiveness to the flow of work.
