Pros

I'm so grateful to work with inspiring, world-class talent on our exciting mission. BetterUp cultivates an environment that is playful and energizing while using science-backed approaches to encourage peak performance. I've greatly appreciated the emphasis on learning, consistent improvement, and well-being across the many forums these can show up. My learnings, improvements, and well-being inside and outside of work are celebrated and encouraged. I trust the leadership and am consistently impressed by their ability to vulnerably own learnings and add zest whenever possible. I'm always so refreshed by how much leadership and ICs alike will do for BetterUp's mission, including putting their regular job duties aside to lean in elsewhere. I've found BetterUp managers and leadership to do an exceptional job pairing work to the skillsets high performers want to grow in. (In addition, I've experienced my work on stretch projects being met with empathy and coaching to hone a craft, one of my favorite parts of this experience.) People who strive for excellence and enjoy a fast-paced start-up environment will likely excel and enjoy BetterUp.

Cons

It's a fast-paced start-up pursuing an important mission; this will not always result in typical 9-5 hours.

Pros

I have enjoyed coaching a number of members here over the years.

Cons

Too many to name… they really seem to be on a downhill slope when they have to keep repeating that many coaches have low workloads now but it’s because they have changed the business strategy… they do have coaches tagged to that new strategy but it’s mysterious how they got those opportunities… they like to hide behind the idea that the algorithm makes decisions on workload but that’s BS to an extent.
