Pros
Dispatch mostly leaves me alone. I have a dedicated run. Jimmy and Rick at the shop are great to work with. They will try to accommodate me and have a truck ready when I need a loaner.
Cons
Pay is low. I have 36 years experience as a driver and am making .35cpm. They only give raises after you've been with the company 10 years. I was broke down for 17 hours with no food or toilet and management didn't care. They told me I had to do my 10 hour break anyway, so they refused to pay me. They expect me to do all kinds of freebies; taxi service, move trailers to different locations, repair my own truck, etc. They refused to allow me to get my truck repaired anywhere but Vincennes, even when it was in violation and dangerous to drive. For instance, I was in Michigan with an exhaust leak in the cab and the forced me to drive to Vincennes to get it repaired. This was dangerous because of the carbon monoxide fumes in the cab. There are many more just like this! They use junk glider kit trucks that they put together themselves. If you are not related to the McCormick family, you mean nothing to them. My dispatcher changed on a monthly basis. This is difficult because you cannot build a rapport with them.
