Good benefits, predictable hours, good management..

Cost of living adjustments have been low in the past few years. Not keep up with inflation.

Not strictly supervised, allowed to find solutions to problems my own way. Permissive with use of FlexTime.

Absolutely uncommitted to GIS best practices. No use of geodatabases, almost spiteful reluctance to use ArcPro at all, very little communication or coordination between departments or with municipalities, no Spatial Analyst license, other departments allowed to operate their own ArcOnline accounts without supervision... also I have literally no idea what the Road Department gets up to at all. MOST IMPORTANTLY, the reason I left is because rent in this area is far too expensive to afford. This area bends its knee to the rich Chicago second-home crowd, and has no care for those who need any kind of support.
