Pros

* Often hiring new people * Mostly steady work * Clear expectations * Continued improvement counted when it came to meeting set goals * Shifts were for set hours and days * Responsive to communication * Answered questions during shift well * Did start continuing training during my time there- I don't know if that has continued after the departure of the shift lead spearheading that effort, however. * Paid for the time in that continuing training. * Did hire as an employee rather than an independent contractor * Were willing to work with you if they wanted the team to work early and you had a schedule conflict, especially if they already knew about it (eg. class schedule) * Did communicate shift changes ahead of time if they knew about them * Often worked 30-35 hours/ week

Cons

* Contract work, so there were stretches without work as well * Remote interviewers are a team within a larger call center and don't learn as much from other workers * Communication between co-workers was frowned upon * Some shift leads more understanding than others * Not much faith in remote interviewers- they were given jobs last * Inconsistent communication as to if shifts were happening that day- some days we knew in the early afternoon, some days only 1.5 hours before shift start time, most days it was in the Slack channel but some days only on the phone message. They had a set policy and usually did better than that but if they didn't, we were the ones in the wrong for expecting the more common behavior. * In combination with the previous one, they occasionally wanted the team to start their shift early. Basically, we spent noon-4:00 Eastern time checking Slack and calling in to see if we were working and when. * Shift leads were occasionally called away from the team or were expected to make calls themselves, leaving them somewhat unavailable for the team, who cannot see that their supervisor/ person to go to for help was otherwise occupied.

Pros

Lots of overtime available. Flexible hours

Cons

Sometimes there wasn’t work but it was made up for by collecting over time when there was a lot of work
