Pros

* Motivated, young, and smart colleagues * Merit-based environment so that if you work hard and work smart here, you will be rewarded * Great for early career development since people here invest in other people * Most people are super helpful and nice to each other * Feels like a small start-up due to the culture of ownership and fast-paced work * Great environment for people who want to learn different skill sets and wear many hats. I can go from one department to the other and learn from other processes without feel like I'm bothering anyone. Cross-functional is very much encouraged. * Nice open office with adjustable standing desk * There're often some kind of free food around the office 3/5 days of the week

Cons

* Fast-paced so sometimes feel chaotic. * Hard to tell if you are doing well since you are always challenged. This can be tough sometimes. * If you are looking to settle in a stable and "work-life-balance" place, the IT department here is not the place to look for. We often work late hours but it's by choice for me since my only goal is to learn and grow quickly.

Pros

-You will be hard pressed to find another company that invests in your professional growth as much as BNet does. BerkleyNet understands that not everyone comes in with insurance expertise and will give you the resources to teach you and expose you to all areas of the business. -The finance department where I worked is a great group of individuals and is a tight knit team. The CFO is incredibly knowledgeable and supportive whenever you have questions or an idea you’d like to share. -involvement in cross functional projects was a great way to get exposed to the full business. This is not the place to be if you want to come in and only do accounting. There is an expectation that you become a well rounded professional and understand the insurance industry which may be a con to some people. -BNet does a great job with transparency and communication from upper management. Routine town halls kept the whole company informed on ongoing projects and quarterly financial results.

Cons

Manassas is a very nice area but unfortunately for me was just a long commute
