Pros
As other commenters mentioned most people there are great, makes it easy place to fit in. There are plenty of travel opportunities and management have generally always been open to suggestions on new commercial opportunities. There is scope to become a respected industry voice at Benchmark. Work life balance is good and there is limited pressure to do out of hours work
Cons
A lot of the negativity on here and discussed between employees I think stems from the fact that the company was very different only a short while ago, and so seems relatively poor now. There used to be a lot of investment and importance placed on the employees working the day to day tasks, with lots of soft benefits. Since private equity investment everything has changed. There is very little proggression opportunity for employees who didn't join early and senior management often seem resentful to those who seek progression. Noticeable decline in already limited benefits, and an incredible lack of communication on direction has destroyed morale and this is reflected in the quality of work. Multiple rounds of redundancies coupled with constant addition of new male senior exec members with zero industry experience makes a quite top heavy establishment.
