Pros
May really great, hardworking people across the all orgs. There are many colleagues willing to help each other out to find solutions and make progress on projects. Some of the best coworkers I have worked with.
Cons
While "growing pains" are to be expected, there was a shift in early-ish 2022 where office politics seemed to become much more toxic and bottlenecked production. Many higher up management new hires all seemed to clash with ideas of what Benchling should be, leading projects through many unnecessary hurdles and delays. The attitudes shifted as well and you could tell that many people "on the ground" were not as happy but nobody felt like they were being listened to. It was really a shame because the company was very friendly when I joined in 2021. There was also a push for RTO in 2022 and they made it seem like everyone was happy about it. That really wasn't the case but people came in because they didn't want to lose their job.
