Pros

Good Technology, Support Staff is adequate, considering the turn over. Excellent capitalization. Well equipped. Excellent engineering staff.

Cons

Poor quality manufacturing manager, small minded, fears anyone that he feels is smarter than him. He expects you to swallow his idea's about every thing technical and don't challege him, or he will have fired. He is VERY insecure, to the point of destroying those he feels are a threat to him professionally, real or not. I ran a foul with this insecure jerk, when I questioned his ideas about Maxwell's Equations, he claimed they were BS and I said prove it to me, he couldn't, he got P.O.ed and had me fired for CHALLENGING THE STATUS QUO OF STUPIDITY.. Forget having a sense of humor, if you go to work there. Religion and God play a BIG role in that business, don't make any jokes on or about religion or God, or they will shove you out the door. Be prepared to be overrun with the staff's kids or friends of the owners kids, from time to time, as they are a "family oriented business".

Pros

Positive Attitudes of co-workers A LOT of great benefits A lot of employee appreciation activities, including birthday gifts/gift-cards and anniversary gifts Flexible schedules Generous and flexible time off Great work/personal life balance Outstanding and dedicated HR personnel Personal & Professional growth is encouraged and rewarded The President is not afraid to put his people before profits; Bench Tree pays a portion of each employees health insurance premiums, reimburses deductible costs, contributes matching funds to a 401K, offers school tuition and professional development course reimbursement and in addition to possible profit sharing/cash bonuses at the end of the year.

Cons

The oil/electronics manufacturing industry, by nature is volatile and this occasionally leads to less than efficient allocation of resources/people/time due to changing objectives. The company structure is very laterally organized and therefore opportunity for advancement is sometimes slow or lacking. Often there seems to be a lack of defined overall goals and steps to measure the progress towards achieving them. This creates an environment where middle management isn't utilized to its greatest effect, i.e. fine-tuning the efforts of individual work-groups to support the efforts of other work-groups in the company.
