Pros

-Work on your own time as long as you're showing results. -Get to sample what you sell.

Cons

-Management is not great at recognition. -Management often refers back to how successful they were as a salesman and talks a lot about starting early, ending late and skipping lunch to get more sales.

Pros

It's a fun environment with friendly co-workers. My hours are flexible so I can start at 6 in the morning or 7 or 8 or whatever. My boss is pretty cool. If you tell him your issues it may take a little while, but he'll get stuff done. There are a few benefits like dental, a week of vacation after a year (2 weeks after 3, and 3 weeks after 5 years), an FSA that they contribute $720 annually into. A 401k after 6 months. Six paid holidays every year. I work a 4 day week and have optional Monday's for OT. Life insurance policy of $10k.

Cons

A few of the sales people complain a lot. The pay isn't great by any means. I was promised more before I started the job and received less after starting. Life insurance policy went from $20k to $10k. Only 3 sick days a year.

Pros

I liked the work I did - purchase and sale contracts, some legal work, tracking accounts, working with vendors and suppliers all over the east coast.

Cons

No management, my work revolved around the President, if he was out on meetings or errands, I had little work to do. Also didn't care for the personal vandetta's of the President like toilett seat shopping for his home.
