Pros
The clients and campaigns you get to work on are impressive and often very high profile You get constantly challenged and pushed to develop your skills Benefits are fine with an above-average pension contribution, good healthcare and a slightly obscure bonus scheme Opportunities to excel on your accounts Pizza Fridays
Cons
Everyone is constantly giving 150% so it's a tough environment to be in. To keep up you need to work very long hours. Regular (unofficial) working day is 8AM-7PM without lunch break and if nothing special comes up. Not unusual for people to still be in the office at 9PM. Very backwards mentality when it comes to flexible working/working from home. If you're not at your desk, you're not working. The glass ceiling is also very visible with only two women in the senior management team. Pay is just about acceptable but below what other agencies offer. A worrying number of people have left (or were asked to leave) in the last 12 months, putting even more strain on those that stay. Right now is a difficult time to join. Lack in diversity: Stereotypical employee is male tory supporter from a wealthy background No HR team!
