Pros

Good for a dose of reality of the real world. Flexible with schedules. 20-30 pecent discount. Great employees and ASMs.

Cons

The store manager is one of the rudest, most insincere, and obnoxious people I have ever met. The hours can be horrible. They schedule people to work until 10:00 or 11:00 at night and sometimes have the same people come back at 6:00 or 7:00 in the morning. There is a huge gap in communication between corporate, managers, and associates. Nepotism and popularity contests run amuck as well. The work is not evenly distributed amongst the employees so the same people get stuck with the same grunt work. The schedules are posted 1-2 days in advance for the following week making it virtually impossible to plan anything. The equipment is completely outdated. The bathrooms, fitting rooms, and break room are impossibly disgusting and depressing. The A/C is ALWAYS broken. There have been a few employees who haveactually vomitted or fainted by the heat and we arent allowed to have fans either. The company prides itself on "going green" yet continues to waste so much paper on futile magazines, paper folding shirts, and markdown lists. All in all working here, I feel like its the blind leading the blind. For most of its associates, they do not get compensated for the hard work they do. The only thing I can say about this job is that its a great motivator to move on to something else. I have had a couple of different types of jobs and hands down this is the worst company Ive ever worked for.

Pros

I loved my job. I’m met so many wonderful people. And the associates couldn’t have been better.

Cons

I hurt myself and had to have surgery, and I was on Worker’s Comp. with limited availability. Because hours were short in operations, they made up this crazy position and wanted me to be ”lead” of the markdown team. I knew that meant for the most part to do go backs. I told them I wasn’t allowed to be on my feet that long and so she said they couldn’t accommodate me and I had to leave. And then the manager had the nerve to call their workers comp and told them I wasn’t coming into work. The management at that time was horrible. But there was a time when I first started working there that to store manager, and the assistant manager were wonderful. We were all so sad they left, but it didn’t take this new manager that I was talking about any time at all to lose almost the entire store associates.
